KENT COUNTY WATER AUTHORITY
RELATING TO WELL REHABILITATION SERVICES
Sealed Bids for Well Rehabilitation Services, for the Kent County Water Authority will be received by the Kent County Water Authority at their offices located at 1072 Main Street, West Warwick, Rhode Island 02893 until 10:00 a.m. prevailing time,on Monday July 13, 2020 and at that time and place will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The work consists of providing directly to the Kent County Water Authority all labor,equipment, materials and services necessary to redevelop the existing Mishnock# 3, #4 and #5 public drinking water supply wells located off Nooseneck Hill Road, Coventry Rhode Island. The design capacity of the wells ranges between 450-780 gallons per minute (GPM). The contractor shall have a minimum of 10 years’ experience with the installation, development, redevelopment, re-screening and disinfection of gravel packed public drinking water system wells similar to the construction of the Mishnock wells. All work under this contract shall be brought to final completion within 30 calendar days of the start date negotiated between the Kent County Water Authority and the Bidder. Detailed Bid submittal requirements and selection criteria can be obtained at the offices of the Kent County Water Authority on or after Monday, June 29, 2020.
A pre-bid conference will be held at the offices of the Kent County Water Authority at 10:00 a.m., prevailing time, on Monday July 6,2020 to discuss project-related concerns and onsite inspection of the wells. It is recommended that all perspective Bidders attend the pre-bid conference, but it is not a mandatory requirement to submit a Bid.
Bidders may obtain copy of the Bid documents at the office of the Kent County Water Authority Bidders will be furnished one set of Bid Documents.
Bidders requesting Bid Documents by mail shall forward a non-refundable check (payable to the "Kent County Water Authority") in the amount of $20.00 per set to cover the costs of handling and mailing. Mailing will be First Class U.S.Postal Rate only.
Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with all applicable sections of the Request for Bid document.
The offices of the Kent County Water Authority are handicapped accessible.
